Empowering the next generation of players at a club with a history spanning over 150 years.

Founded in 1875, the Kingston Chess Club has long been a cornerstone of our community. We are thrilled to announce that beginning September 14th, we are launching Kingston Junior Chess, a dedicated space for young enthusiasts to learn, compete, and grow their skills in a supportive, professional environment.

Club Information

Start Date: Monday, September 14th
Weekly Schedule: Every Monday, 5.15pm to 6.30pm

Location: Richard Mayo Centre, Eden Street, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1H.

Pricing: £10 Per Taster Session, £12 Standard Session £30 Annual Membership

 During school term times, remaining closed for bank holidays and school holidays. A full schedule is provided one month in advance to keep parents informed and prepared.

Kingston Junior Chess is an independent club acting in partnership with the Kingston Chess Club. While the club is managed locally, we have appointed Jolly Good Chess as our independent service and training provider.

By leveraging the expert curriculum, professional training, and proven track record of Jolly Good Chess, we ensure that every junior member learns from the very best in the business. This partnership allows us to maintain the highest standards of professional chess education while remaining an independent, community-focused club.
